Balneary is a piece of writing by Brooklyn-based author K Hank Jost. In this video, I provide live improvised accompaniment to his reading of this piece.
I recently taught a class about contrast in music composition. I propose that approaching contrast with an analytical mindset may help you beat writer’s block.
In 2017, I played at the Jazz Gallery in New York City with the Indiana University Plummer Jazz Sextet featuring guest artist Marquis Hill. This is his arrangement of the classic jazz standard “Minority.”
